I am a native American Sign Language user, born and raised in the Deaf American community.  I attended two Deaf ASL schools before enrolling at Gallaudet University, Washington D.C., where I graduated with two degrees; Bachelor in English Literature and Masters in ASL and Linguistics.  I taught ASL for 25 years at various programs and for five years worked as a full time ASL evaluator at the University. I attended a doctoral program in Child Language and ASL Development at the University of Colorado Boulder where I gained experience and knowledge in researching Deaf children's language development.  I am married to a Deaf Israeli and we communicate using Israeli Sign Language. In the Bilingual-Bimodal project, I am responsible for developing the linguistic coding and assessment in the signed modality.

I am deaf with deaf parents, and therefore Israeli Sign Language is my mother tongue.

In my work as a research assistant I learn new and interesting things about my mother tongue that I never knew before. At the moment, I am studying interactive communication design and social sciences at the Technion, Haifa. In the Bilingual-Bimodal project, I am responsible for developing the linguistic coding, recruiting families and administering the assessments in Israeli Sign Language.
