The 5th Darwin Day Symposium – University of Haifa – About
A one-day symposium celebrating the anniversary of Darwin’s birth (International Darwin Day) will take place at the University of Haifa, Israel, on February 14th, 2019. The symposium, the fifth in the series, is entitled: “Homo Loquens: Interdisciplinary Perspectives on the Evolution of Language”. The Darwin Day symposia at the University of Haifa have been very successful. The first meeting was on Evo Devo; the second dealt with current issues in Human Evolution; the third one was on Mechanisms of Genetic Change; and last year’s symposium was on the Evolution of Behavior. The symposium features nine invited talks by prominent researchers on the topic.
